As we continue to expand our operations in the region, we are looking for entry-level engineering professionals to join our Indonesia team.
Graduate Engineer Trainee(s)
(Based in Jakarta)
ENSCO ‘s Operations/ Engineer Trainee Program is designed to accelerate the learning process of a trainee to the extent that at the conclusion of the 36-month training program, the individual is actually operating the drilling unit under close supervision. The primary intent of the program is to prepare the trainee for operations and/or engineering assignments within our local, regional and international organizations once the program has been completed. Assignments could be anywhere within the company, including our affiliate headquarters office in Singapore or our regional headquarters office in Dubai, UAE.
The ideal candidate will have earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical/ Petroleum Engineering, within the past twelve months. The individual should also enjoy the outdoors, does not mind working in varying weather conditions, is very mechanically inclined, is willing to work in every facet of offshore drilling operations in order to learn the business, and wants to be part of the management structure in a major, international organization at some point in the future. The successful candidate(s) will work 2 weeks offshore on an ENSCO drilling unit in various capacities, beginning at the Roustabout level, one week in our Jakarta office, and one week off at home in preparation for their next work hitch. During the one week assignment in the Jakarta office, the trainee(s) will participate in internal staff and management meetings, customer meetings, engineering projects, work on reading assignments and prepare operational reports, and participate in internal and external training and development programs. Proficiency in the English language is a must.
