The ideal candidate for this challenging and high profile position will have a degree qualification in the Social Sciences or technical discipline and significant experience in the Community Relations or External Affairs area, preferably within a multinational company setting. You will also display a sound understanding of the communities of eastern Indonesia. Fluency in either Halmahera or Papua would be viewed favourably.

Your challenges in this arena will be to coordinate all the permits that we require to operate, including managing the approval processes for the Pearl Project. A key outcome in this role will be successful Tenement Management as such, it is anticipated that you will develop sound procedures and recording systems for managing land compensation. There will be a substantial requirement for you to liaise with relevant government departments, coordinate the submission of documents and ensure the timely submission of statutory reports. Your brief will also involve you in monitoring land use activities, especially the environmental impact of land use.
Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline, you should have significant experience in land tenure management and including landowner negotiation. Familiar with the administration of land tenure policy in Indonesia, you are sensitive to the complexities in this arena.
