Buyer (Code: BY)
Reports to Plant Purchasing Manager, the candidate is responsible to:
* Ensure the material purchase processing are done timely and met as per plant requirements.
* Coordinate with related department in order to choose materials that have been offered by vendors to ensure quality standards and another standards have been met as requested.
* Check the data about the materials before it goes by tender in order to have the information about the materials clearly and accurate.
* Prepare documents for tender purposes to all materials in order to have a competitive price.
* Search and select the most suitable vendor that related to cost saving and efficiency.
* Coordinate with store to make certain delivery time.
* Evaluate vendors’ performance in order to know if vendor is suitable and have a fine performance.
* Collect, maintain and take care of the files regarding the purchase of materials to make it easier, prevent it from damage and ensure the confidentiality of the files.
* Make a monthly report to Plant Purchasing Manager in order to keep Plant Purchasing Manager informed.
General Requirements:
* Must possess at least university degree from economic or technical background.
* Having minimum 3 years working relevant experiences in purchasing area, especially in spare part items and preferred with Multi National Companies.
* Have a strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
* English and Bahasa proficiencies.
* Computer literate for Ms. Word, Ms. Excel and Ms. Power Point programs.
